Maybe, later, he'd get up the guts to offer. Dean's insistence that it was the closest he felt to actually being alive stuck with him after his visit to Eric, wanted to give Dean that... even if he was sure it had the potential to be all kinds of awkward.

Dean... couldn't ever really be lumped in with the vampire who tried to kill him anyway. Maybe he was an idiot, but he wanted to believe Dean was the same, at least for the most part. Wanted to believe he'd never hurt him intentionally, that he could manage... what he was now.

But right now wasn't the time to bring it up. He looked up when Dean walked out, eyes lingering for a brief moment longer than they should before he looked away. "So, get this... the guy's eyeballs had exploded. They blamed a stroke, but... that definitely isn't a common symptom. I talked to the guy's family too and didn't get too much to go on besides the daughter telling how before her dad died, she'd been playing that Bloody Mary game. Thought it was her fault."

He sighed. That was a little too far-fetched though, even for them, right? There wasn't any proof that it was real... "Read over what I got. Tell me if you think this is just a freak medical occurrence, dude, because I don't know."
