Dean noticed Sam's distance, but he wasn't about to comment on it. He was busy trying to block out feeling anything from his brother, if he could help it. Anything to avoid further confrontation.
He obediently read the obituary and nodded. It definitely sounded like the sort of thing they used to go for. He wasn't sure why Sam wanted to hunt instead of chasing down Dad like he had been, but there was no safe way to ask that either. Easiest thing would be to just do as he was told. At least that was something Dean was good at.
He tucked the paper under his arm and shouldered his bag, shaking his head. "I'm alright. Whenever you're ready."
